Adopting cutting edge technology with high attention to detail and the highest quality of audio design, Final has carved a name for itself amongst audiophiles winning multiple awards over the years. CREATING VALUABLE ANTIQUES, NOT JUST PRODUCTS The team at Final strongly believes in creating earphones and headphones that are highly revered by people. Final earphones, like Swiss wristwatches and German Cars must be built to last forever and used as valuable antiques. The result of such careful consideration is a long-lasting, rational & emotionally valuable asset with the best sound quality and best design. CRAFTED IN KAWASAKI, JAPAN SINCE 1974 At the Final factory, the team of audio designers are dedicated to innovating audio products through research. Unlike other OEM manufacturers, they believe in designing their products in-house. This facilitates internal feedback between various teams and departments, encouraging the process for developing a long lasting product. A PROUD SHOWCASE OF JAPANESE HERITAGE AND CRAFTSMANSHIP Final has a state-of-the-art company-owned “Final Store” located in Tokyo, Japan. This is open to all music lovers and audio enthusiasts to come in and experience Final’s range of headphones & earphones. The store proudly showcases their Japanese heritage and cultural artefacts in the form of Samurai suits. This represents Final’s deep respect for the audio purist. COMPLETELY RE-ENGINEERED FROM GROUND-UP FEATURING AIR FILM DAMPENING SYSTEM Final introduces the D8000, the company’s flagship-grade planar-magnetic headphone. Innovative engineering and precision are reflected in every element of the headphone. D8000 can reproduce sound that combines the delicate high-frequency range of a planar magnetic driver while the low-frequency ranges are open, feeling more like a dynamic headphone. Traditionally planar headphones use a zigzag pattern coil, Final designed a spiral coil to significantly improve the bass response. This is possible by incorporating the newly developed damping system to make sure the headphones outperform any planner magnetic or dynamic headphone. The Air Film Dampening System solved the problem of the diaphragm contacting the magnet, so it was possible to achieve sound quality that has both the sensitive high ranges of planar magnetic models and the volume and open feel bass tones of dynamic models. With this technology embedded D8000 redefines the sound and possibilities of what a headphone can do. NEWLY DEVELOPED EAR PADS WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH AFD SYSTEM The team at Final realised that for the D8000 headphones to work flawlessly, they had to apply changes to the existing ear pad design to best suit the headphone. This is mainly done because the reproduction band of bass frequencies has been extended through AFDS, and it has become possible to sufficiently reproduce bass frequencies even with ear pads that are not sealed tightly, with driver unit ability. Considering this, the ear pads for the D8000 have been designed and developed in a manner to feature highly breathable foam and specialised fibres. This offers great comfort while wearing and also maintains the sound quality. The overall effect on the sound quality of the headphone is a superbly rich and open sound signature. AWARD-WINNING, EASY TO REPAIR FUTURE PROOF DESIGN The D8000 from Final is designed with a modular element, allowing for disassembly and easy repairs. This design has been implemented keeping in mind the factor of being able to use the headphones for a long time and if any issue arises, can solve it with ease. Almost all the parts can be disassembled with screws ensuring that the product can be used for many years after purchase. With this future proof design and the technology embedded in the Final D8000, they have been awarded at the VGP 2019 SUMMER awards in Japan. HIGH PRECISION CUT ALUMINIUM MAGNESIUM ALLOY HOUSING TO ELEVATE SOUND Final D8000 features a newly designed housing that is cut with high precision. This is done to accommodate the Air Film Dampening Systems high accuracy. Because of this, the aluminium magnesium alloy housing has been machined with great precision and further reinforced by applying a leather paint finish that is used for high-end cameras. Additionally, the use of selected materials and housing design achieves a balance between volume and clarity while preventing sound leakage. BUNDLED WITH NEWLY DEVELOPED DETACHABLE CABLES AND HEADPHONE STAND Final D8000 comes bundled with not one but two high quality, newly developed detachable cables for ease of use with various devices. D8000 includes a cable with a 3.5mm mini-plug termination with a 1.5m length for portable use and a 6.35mm standard plug termination for home listening. The team at Final have also included a stylish new headphone stand too along with the cables. The stand is compact, it is made entirely of machined aluminium. It is a stand for exclusive long-term use with the D8000. EACH AND EVERY COMPONENT MANUFACTURED IN HOUSE AT Final The D8000 headphones are manufactured at Final’s head office in Kawasaki with a lot of pride. Together with the precision of individual parts, the precision involved in the assembly process depends on the precision of the tools known as, jigs, that assist in the assembly process. To be able to fine-tune even the slightest of irregularities in jig precision during the assembly process, the team at Final designed and manufactured production jigs and measurement jigs themselves. The team developed manufacturing apparatus such as a diaphragm formation machine and a diaphragm tension meter in-house, specifically for the D8000. To create truly good products, it is necessary to get to the core of the manufacturing process of parts close to the raw material. By controlling everything together, from sourcing the raw materials through to the assembly of the product, Final has achieved high-quality products. Making for easy storage and convenient for whenever you want to replace or upgrade cables. What is the impedance on the Final D8000? The Final D8000 comes with the impedance of 60Ω. What do “Impedance” and “Ohms” mean? Impedance is the so-called alternating-current resistance that headphones have under specific standard conditions. On devices with low output impedance, headphones are the louder, the lower their impedance is. In principle, we recommend that you choose headphones with low impedance for use on devices that are operated by battery/rechargeable battery (i.e. most portable devices such as smartphones, tablet computers but also notebooks). You can distinguish between high and low impedance. Usually, the gradations 18 Ω, 32 Ω, and 80 Ω are used in the low range. In the high range, 250 Ω are common. If you want to get the most out of your system (and it has the power to do so), choose a model with 600 Ω. USER MANUAL HOW TO WEAR THE EARPHONES Please check the L (left) and R (right) displays at the end of the left and right headphone arms. With the cable, please check the plugs using the left and right identification lines (white line: left, red line: right).
