THREE MODE GECKO 360° PERFORMANCE Beyerdynamic has developed and integrated GECKO technology, which is fully focused on the type of communication. The GECKO function supports specific spatial requirements as communication is dynamic and variable. 1. GECKO FOLLOW MODE – For a presentation targeted at one speaker, GECKO FIX mode is ideal. That’s because the voice recording focuses precisely on this fixed location. The advantage of this is that noises or what is spoken by all other people in the room is not recorded by the microphone. All listeners can therefore follow the presentation in quiet comfort. 2. GECKO FIX MODE – Where communication is directed at people who move about the room freely during the meeting or where only one person is ever to have the floor, then GECKO FOLLOW is the right mode. GECKO 360° MODE – Where people are gathered around a table at a meeting and communicate with one another, then GECKO 360° mode is the right choice. For music playback, the Bluetooth connection is recommended. Can I use the Beyerdynamic – Phonum For music listening? Yes. Phonum is optimized for speech intelligibility but also suiteable for music playback. For this, we recommend using the Bluetooth® connection as Bluetooth® automatically switches between “Music” and “Voice” profile setting (A2DP and HSP). Via Bluetooth, you are simply switching on Phonum, it is automatically in paring mode (for 2 minutes). Then select Phonum in your Bluetooth® device list. This may take several seconds. Via USB you simply have to connect Phonum to your computer. In case Phonum isn’t set up automatically, make sure you select it in your computers audio device list.
